There are 9 holes on the course with a yardage of 2270.
The course drains exceptionally well and is open for play when many other courses close.
The course climbs steeply form a woodland setting at the clubhouse to a more open Moorland terrain, and once the initial climb is over the going is easy with a variety of natural hazards providing interest and testing the golfer to the full. The view for the top over the Rhinns o’ Kells and south over Loch Ken to the Solway Coast and English Lake District are unrivalled.
During quiet periods (winter), golfers play 15 holes where the play round to the 8th and the play the 3rd for the second time. This eliminates going down the hill and back again.
The standard scratch score of 67.
A new course record of 64 was set by our Captain Richard Tulloch on Sunday 18 July 2010, playing off a handicap of 5.
